Staff At Community

Community is not a place with just a few ministers, but many hundreds of ministers.

Our staff goal at Community is to equip the people of Community in such a way that ministry for Jesus is accomplished through every believer.

  • Dusty Drake

    Lead Minister

Dusty grew up at CCC and held ministries in Kansas, Missouri, and Texas before coming back to CCC in 1997. He served as the worship leader until 2018, when he moved into the Lead Minister position. Dusty's areas of greatest contribution to CCC lay in teaching, writing, leading, and Sunday morning services.

Paul grew up in Pittsburg, KS. In 1995, he was hired at CCC as a summer intern and later as the part-time Children's Minister. In 1998, he was hired full time to be the Children's Minister. In 2018, his job transitioned to a Family Ministry position.

Family: Married Kara in 1995. They have 3 sons (Drew, Luke & Noah) & 2 daughters (Maia & Emma)

  • Daniel Harney

    Worship Minister

Daniel, his wife Megan, and their three kids, Ellie, Jack, and Noa, settled in Fort Scott in 2020. He will tell you his plan was to NOT work at a church (for once in his life) when he moved to The Fort, but God had other plans for him and for Community. He has a degree in Worship Ministry from Ozark Christian College and came to us at exactly the same time that we were shuffling ministers around, leaving us without a worship minister. Apart from playing the guitar, bass, and piano (and probably anything else you put in his hands), he enjoys going out into a forest he found in the back of an abandoned wardrobe to fight bears. He's only lost once... and he doesn't like to talk about it.

  • Delynn Abati

    Communications Administrator

Delynn moved to Fort Scott on her fourth birthday (a Saturday) and has been attending CCC since she was four years and one day old.  "For twenty-three years I was happily a part of the 'preacher's family UNvolunteers' and I am so proud to now officially be a part of the CCC crew, serving the people of Fort Scott every single day.  I am home."  Delynn is passionate about crafting and correct grammar and has said many times she can't believe she found a job that melds those two things together. It is simply icing on the cake (did we mention she used to decorate cakes?) that she gets to do it in  the place where she grew up, met and married her husband Tony, and the first place they brought both of their daughters, Max and Arlie, after leaving the hospital.

Fun fact: If given the chance, Delynn would one day like to write a sermon using only Harry Potter references as sermon illustrations.
